72 Hours protection through Civil Defense Emergencies

Disasters can strike unexpectedly, leaving us without access to essentials like food, water, and shelter. Having an emergency survival backpack with 72 hours worth of supplies ensures that you are self-sufficient during the critical period following a disaster, giving you peace of mind and increasing your chances of survival.

Durable & Long Lasting Protection

Crisis Bunker Backpacks are made from a Durable Waterproof Material. They are custom designed to be lightweight, portable and comfortable for prolonged wear. All items within the backpack are designed to last with a minimum shelf life of 5 years.

Real Impact for Real Communities

Strengthening Community Resilience

When disaster strikes, rural communities often need to respond long before outside help arrives. We worked alongside Tūhoe Hauora to establish a fully equipped Resilience Hub – Sustain model in Tāneatua, ready to support whānau through the critical first hours and days after an emergency.

The Hub is insulated, ventilated, powered by solar and battery storage, and stocked with essentials such as food and water, first aid, temporary shelter, hygiene supplies, tools, PPE and reliable communications through a Quick-Deploy Starlink kit.

This project shows what’s possible when community leadership and practical preparedness come together. The Tūhoe Hauora Hub is now deployment-ready, supporting mana motuhake and providing a blueprint for resilience across Aotearoa.

Real Support, Real Impact

When storms or severe weather cut off access to Matakana Island, help may take days to arrive. We worked alongside local leaders and emergency response partners to install a fully equipped Resilience Hub, providing critical resources such as backup power, satellite communications, food, water, first aid and emergency shelter capability.

This project demonstrates what is possible when proactive planning meets real community need. The Matakana Hub is now a lifeline for residents during disruption and a model for isolated or vulnerable communities across the motu preparing for the unexpected.
