This policy explains how Crisis Bunker collects, uses and shares your personal information when you visit crisisbunker.co.nz, buy from us, or get in touch. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 2020.
By using the site you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What we collect
Directly from you:
- Contact details: name, address, phone, email
- Order details: billing and shipping address, payment confirmation, contact details
- Account details: username, password
- Shopping activity: items you view or add to your cart
- Anything you include when you message us
Automatically, through cookies and similar technology: device and browser information, IP address, and how you use the site.
From third parties: Shopify (who host our store), our payment processors (who collect payment details to process your order), and advertising and analytics partners.

- To process your payment, fulfil your order, arrange shipping, handle returns and manage your account
- To send you marketing and promotional messages, and show you relevant advertising
- To detect and prevent fraud or misuse

Our services are not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we hold information about your child, contact us and we will delete it.
Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, though no system is completely secure. Please do not send us sensitive information through unsecured channels. We keep your information only as long as we need it to run your account, provide our services, meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- Ask us to delete information we no longer need
- Withdraw consent where we rely on it
- Unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in our emails. We will still send you order and account emails.
Email admin@crisisbunker.co.nz to make a request. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will respond within 20 working days.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, contact us first at admin@crisisbunker.co.nz. If we cannot resolve it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Changes
We may update this policy. The revised version goes on the site with a new "Last updated" date.
