Where most communities actually start

Not sure where to begin? Most aren't.

Plenty of marae and communities feel the risk, the cyclones, the flooding, the isolation, but aren't sure what being ready actually looks like for their rohe. That's usually why they come to us, and it's exactly where we start. Not with a product, with understanding.

1
An informal kōreroWe come and talk. No pitch, no assumptions. Just getting to know your people, your place and what's on your mind.
2
Information gatheringWe learn how your community works day to day, your awa, your access, your people and the hazards you live with.
3
A vulnerability huiA workshop to surface the real risks together and talk through practical mitigation options, in plain language.
How we work

From understanding to readiness

Once we understand the risks together, we co design the response. We're not a catalogue, so what we build is shaped to your community, a real need, not a nice to have.

01

Understand

Kōrero, information gathering and a vulnerability hui to surface the real risks for your place.

02

Co design

We scope the right response together, from welfare activation tools to a full resilience hub.

Anyone can buy a container, cupboard or backpack and fill it with gear. We sit with a community, understand their risks, design the system, install it, train your people and stay alongside you after. That is what makes it work. Not a shopping list, it's capability.

From the communities we work with

In their words.

We measure success by what marae and communities tell us once the work is done and the hub is theirs.

The Resilience Hub is outstanding, its layout, equipment placement, and storage are all meticulously planned, and the breadth of essential resources available for whānau and community is impressive.

This initiative has significantly strengthened confidence in our community’s preparedness and provides a future-focused solution that aligns perfectly with our kaupapa.

H HineTe Tawa Kaiti Lands Trust

We were seeking a community hub that could support both hapū members and the broader Te Puna community, especially vulnerable communities such as elderly, young families, and people with disabilities.

The Crisis Bunker Resilience hub is an important resource for us to be fully equipped to look after our whānau and hapū. It just makes sense to be prepared.

P PaulaPirirākau Tribal Authority

Today patience and perseverance paid off, we had our amazing, brilliant, stunning and incredible branded Resilience Hub arrive to our marae. The team set up and placed all our precious equipment inside the hub with ease.

The contents of the hub are second to none. Honestly covers everything we will need duration of a crisis. We are truly grateful and appreciative to be recipients of this beautiful taonga.
